I'm About To Lose It Logo

An obese 50 year old guy takes the plunge into RNY gastric bypass surgery.

Had my nutrition follow up today and even though it’s supposed to be another week before I’m out of soft foods, she said I was ready to go to “the final level.”

So now I’m on all foods, including hard/crunchy foods, with some restrictions (bread, rice, and pasta for a year, soda, etc.)

I celebrated with a grilled chicken club (no bun) and it was gooood! Granted I ate less than half of it, but it was still tasty. I do see some steak on my horizon though!

BUT…I’m not going to let this derail my plans. I’m still in a place where I’m not hungry often and can only eat a few ounces at a time, so I’m going to use this time to stay focused, and lose as much as I can.

I’m also off any lifting/exercise restrictions, so I will be hitting up the gym soon as well…gotta turn this saggy skin and muscle loss into something good.

(Also had a regular doc appointment yesterday and today labs came back and levels in normal range so things must be going good there too!)

Onward and upward!
