Looks like I’m in a stall. I’ve been around the same weight, give or take a pound or two, over the last week.
I’m not sweating it though. Sure I’d like to see that scale move…I’m just about 10 pounds away from 100 down and about 20 away from being in the 300’s.
But they will happen. You know why? Because I’m stalled but I’m not still. I’m still doing the things I’m supposed to be doing. I haven’t fallen off the wagon in any way.
This is very common, not just in gastric bypass patients but in pretty much any diet scenario. It can happen for a multitude of reasons. A lot of time it’s just your body’s internal works making adjustments. As long as you look at what you are doing and make sure you are still on track with your plan, you just have to wait it out. It may be a few days…a week…or (heaven forbid) a month. I hope it’s not a month.
But more importantly, usually when you are in a weight stall, other things are still happening. It’s a good time to really look at those non scale victories.
Either way, you just gotta keep chugging on.
