I'm About To Lose It Logo

An obese 50 year old guy takes the plunge into RNY gastric bypass surgery.

Back in the day it was all about weight loss. I need to lose 10, 20, 50, 100 pounds…

Then everybody started yelling at you “Stop trying to lose weight! Just be healthy!”

How about this? How about I do both!?

I’m on this journey for many reasons. In some way or another every one of those reasons are tied together. I want to lose weight because I’m miserable. I want to lose weight to be more active. I want to lose weight for better health (physical and mental). I want to lose weight because I want to be more healthy.

At the end of the day my health is tied to my weight. Maybe yours is too. Maybe it isn’t. That’s not my place to say. But for me, it is! I need to lose weight and that is the long and short of it!

(This post is more of just a random thought for myself.)
