I'm About To Lose It Logo

An obese 50 year old guy takes the plunge into RNY gastric bypass surgery.

As of this morning I am 200 pounds down from my highest weight last summer!

I started at 508 and this morning I weighed in at 307.6 (I always round up.) This has been one of my big goals since the beginning, but honestly one I wasn’t sure if I would achieve or not.

It’s been a LOT of hard work and of course as I got within a couple of pounds of the goal I hit a natural stall over the last week and a half, but this morning I hit it!

My next goal is really close, which was to be in the 2xx’s. It’s probably been 25+ years since I’ve been in anywhere in the 200’s. After that my next goal is 254, which is literally half the man I used to be.

I don’t know what my final weight goal is, probably somewhere between 250 and 220. I still have a LONG way to go, but I’ve come so far. There have been some hard days, some struggles, a whole new set of issues post surgery that are frustrating at times, but I can still say this surgery was the best decision for my health I could have possibly made. I only wish I would have done it sooner.

Moving onward and downward!
