Bought my 3rd pair of post-op jeans yesterday. At my highest weight last year I was wearing a size 52. In January I bought a pair of size 46 jeans. Around the end of April I bought a pair of size 42…and my first pair of jeans from a normal store (WalMart) in…maybe 10+ years?)
This weekend I bought a pair of 40’s. I think I could have probably done a pair of 38’s without too much trouble but I wanted something comfortable.
What is crazy, besides the amazing NSV of buying regular jeans, is the price! At the big and tall store you are paying $50-$75 for a pair of jeans…and that’s usually the store brand! The last two pair of jeans I bought were less than $20 a pair, tax and all.
I’m not sure when or if I will ever be able to buy most of the shirts at WalMart etc. I’m always going to need a tall shirt because of my build. But when you move from a 7XLT to a 4XLT (and some 3XLT) you find MANY more options.
Cheaper clothes rule!
