I'm About To Lose It Logo

An obese 50 year old guy takes the plunge into RNY gastric bypass surgery.

These four bags are pretty much the last of my old clothes…the ones I was wearing at my highest weight. Mostly 7XLT, a few 6XLTS depending on the fit…but even those 7’s were starting to get snug.

As of this writing I’m wearing a 3XL/3XLT (again depending on the fit) comfortably. In fact I have cheap 2XLT on order to see what that is like. If I could someday do a 2XL I’d be happy…ultimate would be an XL but even as far as I’ve come I can’t fathom it.

Anyway…some of the clothes in those bags were some of my favorites. I had a hard time getting rid of some of them. But they all absolutely swallowed me up.

Still, in the back of my mind something said “What if you gain weight? You’ll need those!”

But I have to conquer that fear and move forward…so these are gone. Shirts. Pants. Shorts. Jackets. Outta here!

I have just a handful of things that were previously too small that now fit mostly okay. Those will stick around a little longer but will eventually become donations or shop rags.

On the upside, I’m going through a bit of “mid-life crisis” in that I’ve bought 3 or 4 (so far) fun T-Shirts. I went for years not finding anything that fit me…so be prepared to see some ridiculous stuff. 🙂
